Elie Bou Yazbeck is appointed as theAssistant to the DG for technical affairs since 2020 and as Food Science Expertsince 2009 at The Ministry of Economy and Trade, Lebanon.  He is also a Universitylecturer for several B.S. and M.S. levels courses related to Nutrition, Foodquality & safety and research methodologies at several universities inLebanon (USJ, LAU, USEK, and NDU) since 2004.  He is also an adjunctprofessor at Laval University in Canada.

He earned a Ph.D. in Biology & Agro-EnvironmentalBiotechnology from University of Perugia-Italy and a Master in Food andNutrition in developing countries from University of Montpellier-France. Heis an expert in Food Regulatory Sciences and in Data Management. Dr. BouYazbeck is a member of National Codex Alimentarius Committee and the NationalFood Safety committee. Also, he is a member of the Executive Committee of theArab section of AOAC INTERNATIONAL as well as the Global Food RegulatoryScience Society – GFoRSS, among others. Dr. Bou Yazbeck is a consultant inAgro-food Sciences with more than 22 years of experience in Lebanon and abroad.
