Rafic Faddoul a obtenu un doctorat en ingénierie civile à lUniversité de Nantes en France et a également étudié à lUniversité Saint-Joseph - École Supérieure d'Ingénieurs de Beyrouth (E.S.I.B.). Il enseigne à l'Université Saint-Joseph dans divers domaines tels que les systèmes d'information et l'analyse de données, la méthodologie de l'enquête et la collecte des données, les méthodes numériques, la recherche opérationnelle, les probabilités, les statistiques avancées, l’intelligence artificielle et la modélisation de l'information SAFE_USJ_du bâtiment. Rafic est également cofondateur de Swan Analytics, une société spécialisée dans l’intelligence artificielle et l'analyse des données. Il est le directeur de MIROR, spécialisée dans le développement de systèmes d'aide à la décision pour l'optimisation de la gestion de l'inspection, la maintenance et la réhabilitation des ouvrages de génie civil. Il a publié de nombreux articles sur des sujets tels que l'optimisation de la maintenance, l'analyse de la durabilité des ponts en béton armé et l'utilisation des algorithmes de compression de données pour évaluer les défauts répartis spatialement sur les ponts. Rafic a également contribué au développement de plusieurs projets liés à la collecte, l'analyse et la visualisation des données orientés vers l'amélioration des processus décisionnels.
