Rafic Faddoul earned a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Nantes in France also studied at Saint Joseph University - School of Engineering of Beirut (E.S.I.B.). He teaches at Saint Joseph University in various fields such as information systems data analysis, survey methodology data collection, numerical methods, operations research, probabilities, advanced statistics, artificial intelligence, building information modeling. Rafic is also a co-founder of Swan Analytics, a company specializing in artificial intelligence data analysis. He is the director of MIROR, a firm specializing in developing decision-support systems for optimizing the inspection, maintenance, and rehabilitation management of civil engineering structures. He has published numerous articles on topics such as maintenance optimization, the durability analysis of reinforced concrete bridges, and the use of data compression algorithms to assess spatially distributed defects on bridges. Rafic has also contributed to the development of several projects focused on data collection, analysis, and visualization aimed at improving decision-making processes.
