Dr. Antoine Melkane est actuellement professeur associé au département dOto-rhino-laryngologie et Chirurgie Cervico-Faciale, à la Faculté de Médecine de l'Université Saint-Joseph.Le Dr. Melkane a obtenu son diplôme de la Faculté de Médecine en 2004. Après avoir terminé son résidanat en ORL au CHU Hôtel-Dieu de France en 2009, il a suivi une formation spécialisée en chirurgie oncologique de la tête et du cou à l'Institut Gustave Roussy, Université Paris XI, à Villejuif, France (2009-2012), puis au Karmanos Cancer Institute, Wayne State University, à Michigan, États-Unis (2012-2013). Il a rejoint le département d’ORL de l’Hôtel-Dieu de France en 2014 et s'est depuis activement impliqué dans le soin des patients atteints de cancers de la tête et du cou.Le Dr. Melkane détient un Master en Sciences Chirurgicales de l'Université Paris XI (2012). Ses principaux domaines de recherche portent sur l'implication de l’HPV dans les cancers de l'oropharynx et le rôle du ganglion sentinelle dans les cancers précoces de la sphère ORL.Il a publié plus de 30 articles originaux dans des revues à comité de lecture. Il est membre du comité scientifique des Annales Européennes d’ORL et Chirurgie de la tête et du cou. Il est également relecteur pour de nombreuses autres revues, dont Head & Neck, Laryngoscope, et JAMA Otolaryngology-Head Neck Surgery.
