Elie Yazbek a publiéplusieurs ouvrages sur le cinéma dont Sciencefiction and religion (dir), Le super-héros à l'écran (dir), Regards sur le cinéma libanais (1990-2010)et Idéologie et montage dans le cinémaaméricain contemporain…, ainsi que plusieurs articles dans des revuesinternationales. Il a publié également des pièces de théâtre, Orage d’été et Les autres enfants de Dieu. Il a réalisé plusieurs documentaires etcourt-métrages. Il est actuellement ledirecteur de l'École doctorale Science de l'homme et de la société (EDSHS) àl’Université Saint-Joseph de Beyrouth, après avoir dirigé l'Institut d’étudesscéniques, audiovisuelles et cinématographiques (IESAV) entre 2011 et 2020, oùil enseigne.Il est le secrétairegénéral de la Fondation Liban-Cinéma, dont la mission est le soutien à laproduction et à la diffusion du cinéma libanais.
