Le Professeur Nabil Nemer est titulaire d'un diplôme d'Ingénieur Agronome et d'une Licence en Agronomie de l'Université Américaine de Beyrouth (AUB), obtenus en 1995. Il a ensuite obtenu un Master en Protection des Plantes (Entomologie) à l'AUB en 1997. En 2008, il a soutenu une thèse de doctorat en Biologie, spécialité Entomologie et Écologie Chimique des Insectes, à l'Université Paris-Sud XI en collaboration avec l'Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA), France. Après plusieurs années d'activités de recherche et d'enseignement à l'Université Américaine de Beyrouth, il a rejoint l'Université Saint-Esprit de Kaslik (USEK) en 2011 et a été promu Professeur Titulaire en 2022. Au cours de sa carrière à l'USEK, il a occupé plusieurs fonctions académiques et administratives, notamment Chef du Département des Sciences Agricoles, Doyen Associé de la Faculté des Sciences Agronomiques et Alimentaires, Coordinateur du programme de Génie Agronomique, Doyen Associé des Études Doctorales en Sciences et Technologies et Directeur du Centre Supérieur à la Recherche. Depuis septembre 2026, il est Professeur Titulaire à l’Ecole supérieure d’ingénieurs d’agronomie – méditerranéenne à la Faculté d’ingénierie et d’architecture de l'Université Saint-Joseph de Beyrouth (USJ). Ses travaux de recherche portent principalement sur l'entomologie, l'écologie chimique des insectes, la lutte intégrée contre les ravageurs, la santé des forêts, la conservation de la biodiversité, la lutte biologique ainsi que les impacts des changements climatiques sur les écosystèmes agricoles et forestiers. Il a dirigé ou participé à de nombreux projets nationaux et internationaux financés notamment par la FAO, le PNUD, l'UNESCO, le CNRS, l'AUF, l’EBRD, la GIZ, l'AFD et l'Union européenne. Il est auteur de plus de 70 publications scientifiques internationales à comité de lecture, plus de 50 communications scientifiques, huit chapitres d'ouvrages ainsi que de nombreux rapports techniques. Ses contributions scientifiques ont été reconnues à l'échelle internationale, et trois espèces ont été nommées en son honneur pour saluer ses travaux en entomologie et en conservation de la biodiversité.
