UNIVERSITY CENTER FOR ETHICS (CUE)

Founded in 1995 by Father Jean Ducruet, SJ, the University Center for Ethics (CUE) is responsible for addressing all ethical issues related to academic or medical practices at the Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ) and its affiliated institutions.

The Center serves as a documentation and resource hub, offering access to over 500 publications and designed to support both professionals and the general public.

Among its many missions, the Center promotes collaborative reflection, fosters dialogue through debates, publications, and training programs, and supports scientific research.

The Center also plays a key role in raising ethical awareness and providing comprehensive academic training to professionals, both during their initial education and through lifelong learning. It actively contributes to the development of specialized, accredited academic programs and ensures the integration of ethics coursework throughout all university programs.
