Marie-Thérèse Chicha (FSE, 1968), a tenured professor at the School of Industrial Relations at the University of Montreal, is widely recognized for her lifelong work advancing pay equity and fighting discrimination in the labor market. Trained as an economist, she has devoted her career to understanding, analyzing, and transforming the working conditions of historically disadvantaged groups, thereby contributing to the evolution of public policies on equality.

This period allowed her to refine her thinking and turn her attention to the systemic inequalities that shape the world of work.
