Tania Saba (FDSP, 1985) has redefined diversity and governance in academia and beyond. She is the founder and holder of the BMO Chair in Diversity and Governance at the Université de Montréal (UdeM) where she also serves as Associate Vice-Rector and Full Professor of Industrial Relations. On November 3, 2025, she received the inaugural Rémi-Quirion Award for Excellence in Scientific Research and Societal Engagement from the International Observatory on the Societal Impacts of AI and Digital Technologies (OBVIA) in Quebec, in recognition of her exceptional contributions to science and society.
Saba graduated from the Faculty of Law and Political Science (FDSP) at USJ in 1985, earned a PhD in Industrial Relations from UdeM in 1995, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in International Human Resource Management at Cornell University, further sharpening her global perspective on work and employment.
