Together on the road to excellence

Fondation USJ, launched by the Rector of USJ, Prof. Salim Daccache, SJ, in 2015, serves as an independent fundraising entity dedicated to supporting students experiencing financial hardships. Additionally, it provides support for the University’s developmental initiatives and addresses the needs of its affiliated University Medical Center, Hôtel-Dieu de France, and its hospital network. .

Fondation USJ is the main body within the Saint Joseph University of Beirut that is attentive to the needs of its students, its community, and its hospital, Hôtel-Dieu de France (HDF). Through its initiatives, campaigns, and programs, Fondation USJ aims to:

• Raising funds to support students, teaching excellence, and research.
• Raising funds to support the development and patients of HDF.
• Building and maintaining partnerships with USJ and HDF donors.
• Capitalizing on USJ’s international network of alumni, friends, and partners.

In 2025, Saint Joseph University of Beirut will celebrate a momentous milestone: 150 years of dedication to education, cultural diversity and innovation. Over the course of these 150 remarkable years, our institution has been a beacon of cutting-edge education, enlightenment and progress. Today, we stand at the cusp of a new era, driven by our collective determination to reach greater heights.

Under the slogan « USJ, Aspire for More »,today we are launching a 10-year fundraising campaign, with the aim of raising $150 million to ensure USJ’s longevity.

Donating to Fondation USJ means contributing to making educational excellence accessible to all, fostering social and cultural diversity, bolstering USJ’s reputation as a leading institution in education and research, both regionally and internationally, and advancing healthcare in Lebanon through its hospital network, thereby benefiting the local community.
