Career Highlights
Carla Chamoun is a multifaceted professional with expertise in soft skills training, material development, English language instruction. She currently serves as an instructor of English as a Foreign Language (EFL), English for Specific Purposes (ESP) and as a trainer of Employability and communication skills at Saint Joseph University. Moreover, Carla heads the Development and Counseling Department at Saint George School-Bsalim ESGB where she serves as a Capacity Building Skills material developer and trainer.
Carla has a strong background in providing Employment Readiness Training, including guidance on CV and cover letter writing, interview techniques, and public speaking. She has delivered these workshops to over 1000 students at Centremine, the career center of the Lebanese University, as well as to various NGO audiences.
Presently, she is engaged in curriculum development for an academy focused on personal and professional development.
In her previous roles, Carla served as a Business English trainer at the Banking Association of Beirut (ABL), where she conducted training sessions for bank staff in business writing and communication skills.
She has also taught EFL and ESP at Alba, LAU, UL, and the Military Academy. At ESGB and for 28 years, Carla has held the position of Head of English Department, where she taught EFL, Cultural Studies, and provided academic guidance, college and career counseling, as well as personal and social support to senior students.
Carla holds a double degree in English Language and English Literature, along with a Masters degree in Sociolinguistics with a focus on Cross-culturalism. She is a certified NLP Master Practitioner and a trainer of trainers (TOT), with additional training in areas such as Emotional Intelligence, Leadership, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), among others.
