A Month of Care, Art, and Well-Being Across All USJ Campuses

Have you ever heard about the quiet corners on campus where students can just pause, breathe, and take a break for a moment?

This November, Mental, also known as the well-being program of the Student Life Office, created that exact corner across all USJ campuses. From Beirut to Zahle, Tripoli, and Saida five dates: 3-11-12-17 and 19th of November, were dedicated to ensuring a calm and safe space in which students could enjoy and take a moment to disconnect.

In fact, students participated in several activities, especially artistic ones, such as clay modeling with Aal Ghyoum and pouch painting with Kanvartfuly, which turned these creative moments into small windows of peace and relief from the rush of academic life.

Additionally, the presence of the students’ clubs added a real spark to the event, bringing energy, insight, and warmth to every campus. The Mental Health Club raised awareness about panic attacks with the ISSP faculty, LEMSIC invited students to explore their “wheel of emotions” as well as writing a message of hope, to remind them that there is always a light to hold onto, even when things feel overwhelming. The University’s Center for Psychological Support also held a Q&A, where students could ask questions and better understand how to seek help if they ever need it, and to make the atmosphere even warmer, the Music Club added its own beautiful touch by filling the space with live music.

More than 35 students participated in these artistic activities, and many others passed by, asked questions, and stopped by the stands. In the regional campuses, students also had the chance to meet professionals for a discussion about stress and time management.

Finally, this month was marked by students’ smiles, their engagement, and their genuine wish to see more. Mental will always be here to remind you of one thing: Your well-being matters, and taking care of it starts with small things that can gently shift how you feel.
