Developing an innovative approach to assess hepatocellular carcinoma risk among Lebanese individuals due to Aflatoxin B1 exposure via food.
Description :
This investigation is distinguished by its uncommon approach of incorporating a comprehensive array of biomarkers, specifically aimed at assessing the individual risk of hepatocellular carcinoma due to AFB1 exposure. This is achieved by evaluating the DNA repair capacity in each subject. Typically, research in this field is limited to the assessment of one to three biomarkers and often overlooks the variability in DNA repair mechanisms that can influence cancer susceptibility on an individual basis.
