Urban Heat Islands Effects on Different Cities in The Middle East and North Africa Regions.

Urban Heat Island (UHI) is one of the drivers of climate change. The wave of urbanization induced the UHI effect all over the world. Research on this topic is not well developed yet in the Middle East and Northern Africa (MENA) region. Therefore, this study will investigate the forecasted increase/decrease of temperature in the capitals of the MENA region and calibrate the expected change for the coming 20 years using statistical analysis based on data from Landsat, MODIS, and online weather forecast.
