This course offers an introduction to the diverse cultures, languages, and societies that constitute the Arab world. It explores the intellectual, artistic, and cinematographic landscape of the Arab world. The students will discover the rich tapestry of cultural production, exploring the diverse expressions of creativity and thought that define the region. The course will address issues facing the Arab world today, including political dynamics, social movements, economic challenges, and cultural transformations and their impact on the art and the intellectual movements.
