Students are expected to have completed and passed the anatomy of the nervous system course. This unit will be taught alongside the neuromuscular physiology course. Its aim is to identify and explain pathologies of the human nervous system, and it is essential for recognizing the nature of a neurological disorder (its pathophysiology) based on the clinical signs presented by a patient. Students will also learn about the progression of each disease, its differential diagnoses, specific characteristics, and the various types of treatments that may be proposed for each condition. Likewise, they will be able to anticipate the nature of the deficits resulting from a given lesion of the nervous system.
