Physico-chemical Treatment to Mitigate Mycotoxins in dry Solid Foods and Feeds

The aim of our research is to mitigate mycotoxins in corn and wheat by the implemenation of different green methods based on the optimization of washing process of the treated materials and by the use of the Intensification of Vaporization by Decompression to the Vacuum (IVDV), and by other possible combinations. These detoxification treatements will be conducted on naturally contaminated matrials and on spiked or artificially contaminated grains with different contamination levels in order to reduce or eliminate ochratoxin A (OTA) and Aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) and total Aflatoxins (AFT).
