Endometriosis, Dietary Habits, and Inflammatory status: a pilot study among Lebanese Premenopausal Women.

A pilot study aiming to assess the impact of endometriosis on Lebanese premenopausal women, focusing on mental and menstrual health, endometriosis-related pain, quality of life, and current eating patterns correlating with the diagnosis. The intervention's purpose is to test the effectiveness of a holistic management of endometriosis, involving a specific diet and physical activity program, on improving the mental and menstrual health, and the quality of life, as well as reducing the endometriosis-related pain and relative co-morbidities. This research project will be conducted among premenopausal Lebanese women suffering from this condition, over two consecutive phases: 1- Phase one assesses the current lifestyle factors, anthropometry, and dietary exposures of EM Lebanese premenopausal women, as well as the impact of the disease on their quality of life, mental and menstrual health. 2- Phase 2 explores the effect of lifestyle modifications including a specifically developed EM and physical activity program on subjective and biochemical markers of pain, inflammation and adipokines, the quality of life and menstrual and mental health parameters.
