Micro-computed tomography assessment and comparative study of the shaping ability of NiTi files sequence heat treated M wire, blue and gold: In vitro study

Description :

The present study is designed to evaluate and compare the performance of three heat-treated nickel-titanium (NiTi) rotary endodontic instrument systems, M-Wire, Gold, and Blue alloys in the preparation of mesial root canals of mandibular first molars. A micro-computed tomography (Micro-CT) based methodology is employed to analyze and quantify the shaping ability, canal transportation, centering ability, volume of dentine removed, and Rate of Non-Instrumented canal walls exhibited by each instrument type. The purpose of this study is to identify the heat treatment process that provides superior shaping performance, thereby contributing to improved outcomes in root canal treatment.
