Immediate implant placement with custom fabricated socket sealing abutment in the Premolar Area: A one-year prospective study
Description :
This Research aims to assess the effects of using milled PEEK SSAs after immediate implant placement without bone grafting materials on the surrounding hard and soft tissues. A preoperative clinical diagnosis and radiographic analysis are performed. After atraumatic extraction, the implant is placed immediately, and a PEEK abutment is milled manually trying to mimic the exact shape of the extraction socket. A CBCT is taken at the day of implantation and 6 months after implantation. Also, an Intra Oral scan is taken directly after implantation and at 3 months prior to implant loading. To assess the soft and hard tissue changes (loss/gain) both intra oral scans and CBCTs are superimposed on digital software to measure the differences. The results of our proposed hypothesis are verified and interpreted after statistical analysis.
