Periodic Program Review
Periodic program review aims to improve the quality of the programs offered by the University to ensure they meet the goals and expectations of stakeholders, particularly instructors, students, and employers. This review includes the assessment of the Program Learning Outcomes attained by the students, which should precede it.
The review is conducted every 6 years. It spans two academic years and is carried out by the academic team responsible for the program, which prepares a Self-Study Report (year 1). This is followed by an evaluation by external examiners not affiliated with the program or department, and generally external to the University (year 2).
The results of the evaluation are incorporated into the institutional planning and budgeting process within the quality management system.
The Procedure for Periodic Program Review outlines the general guidelines to be followed, the process and timeline, and the entities involved in this evaluation. It specifies that the administrative oversight of evaluations is managed by the Training Commission. The Program Self-Study Report is prepared according to a form made available to institutions. An External Program Evaluation Report has been developed and made available to institutions and external evaluators.
