Quality Management System

Quality Assurance Management Process

The Quality Assurance Management Process ensures that the University evolves in line with its mission, vision, values and various stakeholders’ expectations (instructors, students, administrative staff, alumni and employers), while respecting international standards, especially the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG2015).

This process is based on the “Evaluate to Evolve” principle. It is therefore considered as a lever for continuous improvement, i.e. a process that ensures compliance with the criteria of relevance, coherence, effectiveness, transparency, participation, and equity. Inclusive quality for all, as confirmed by the Charter.

The Quality Assurance Management Process follows the Deming Cycle, or the PDCA cycle, a four-step approach consisting of Plan, Do, Check, and Act.

Continuous Improvement Cycle

Planning is conducted on an annual basis in each academic and non-academic entity. It is aligned with the University’s strategic goals, as set out in the Strategic Plan developed every 5 to 7 years. It includes an action plan covering at least one year and aligned with the University’s Action Plan.

Each academic and non-academic entity prepares an Annual Report, addressed to the Rector and made available to UAQ. The Report provides an overview of the achievements and thus enables the monitoring of the implementation of the Strategic Plan. The Annual Report comprises a self-assessment identifying the strengths, weaknesses, and improvements to be implemented, along with an Action Plan covering at least the one year.

The regular assessment is based on Key Performance Indicators, such as the satisfaction indicators of internal and external stakeholders, the ranking results, and the statistical analyses provided by CCAD.

Thanks to the results of the evaluations, the necessary improvements are identified and integrated into the annual (short-term) planning and budgeting processes, as well as the (medium-term) strategic planning process. Ultimately, the Central Administration may respond by updating the Strategic Plan and the Action Plan proposed to achieve its goals.
