Bourses d’honneur
Based on the tuition fees of the current academic year
Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ) awards Honors Scholarships for the following academic year (year n+1)
to students who achieve the highest rankings during the current academic year (year n), in accordance with the
following provisions:
- For each USJ institution, the total amount allocated to these scholarships represents 0.2% of the tuition fees
collected during the current academic year, with a minimum of $1,500 and a maximum of $30,000 per institution. - Before the end of every academic year, the Vice-Rector for Administration informs each institution of the total
amount allocated for the Honors Scholarships to be awarded the following year. - Based on students’ academic performance, each institution prepares the list of scholarship recipients and
determines the amount granted to each student. The list is then approved by the institution’s board and
submitted to the Vice-Rector for Administration for final approval. - The scholarship amount is deducted from the student’s tuition fees for the following academic year and cannot
be used for any other purpose. Consequently, graduating students may only benefit from the scholarship if they
enroll in a higher cycle of study. - The allocated amounts must be announced before the end of October of the following academic year.
- Except for the Merit Scholarship and donations covering full t uition fees (as specified in the MoU or in accordance
with the donor’s wishes), the total amount of academic scholarships, need-based financial aid, and other tuition
reductions may not exceed 75% of the tuition fees.
