Saint Joseph University offers student housing at "USJ Dorms," located on Damascus Road next to the Rectorate. Housing options include single and double rooms, two studios for two residents, and one three-person apartment. Separate residential areas are available for women and men.

Opening Hours

USJ Dorms are open year-round from 6:00 a.m. to midnight. Residents arriving after midnight in exceptional circumstances should notify the Administration.

Community Life

Each floor has a shared kitchen, dining area, and TV lounge. A ground-floor lounge and covered outdoor area offer additional spaces for informal gatherings and activities. 
Residents are encouraged to participate in activities organized at the dorms throughout the year, including USJ Campus Ministry and social events. 
Daily Mass is celebrated in the chapel Monday through Friday.

Housekeeping

Housekeeping staff keeps the dorm’s common areas clean daily, while rooms are serviced once a week. The shared bathrooms on the sixth floor are cleaned three times a day. 
Residents are responsible for cleaning and maintaining their own rooms on a daily basis.

Mail and Messages

Each resident has a personal mailbox at the front desk for mail, messages, and other correspondence.

Meals

Each floor has a shared kitchen and dining area with a TV. Residents are expected to wash their own dishes and utensils after use. Cooking and eating are not permitted in the rooms. 
Food and other deliveries are received at the front desk.

Laundry

A laundry room with washers and dryers is available to all residents. The women’s and men’s areas also have dedicated rooms for ironing and air-drying clothes.

Television

Each floor’s common area is equipped with a TV for residents’ use.
TVs are not permitted in the rooms.

Parking

A large paid parking lot is available near the dorms.

Contract

Students may choose a semester or full-year contract. The maximum period of residence is four years.

Fees

For the 2025–2026 academic year, the housing rates for the period September 1, 2025, through January 14, 2026, are:

900 fresh U.S. dollars per bed in a double room
1,050 fresh U.S. dollars per bed in a room with a private bathroom
1,200 fresh U.S. dollars for a single room
2,700 fresh U.S. dollars for a studio
3,550 fresh U.S. dollars for an apartment*

*International students must pay the full housing fee in fresh funds: 
Single room: €2,500 + €750 refundable security deposit
Double room: €1,800 + €500 refundable security deposit

Rates are subject to change for the second and subsequent semesters of the academic year. 
Housing fees include water, electricity, heating, air conditioning, and Internet access. 
Housing fees are payable in full in advance. Cancellations require three months' notice. (See Internal Regulations of USJ Dorms)

A US$100 security deposit is required before move-in. The deposit is refundable when students move out after two years of residence.
