Recently head of the Constitutional Genetics Unit at the CGGM of the Faculty of Medicine of Saint Joseph University (USJ) in Beirut. I am specializing in cytogenetics, molecular cytogenetics, and molecular biology. Education & Academic Background Holder of a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree (Maîtrise) in Medical Laboratory Sciences from Saint Joseph University of Beirut, I completed my academic training with a Master of Research (M.Sc.) in Health Biology (specialization in Medical Genetics) in 2013. In 2020, I obtained my Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Genetics through a joint international doctorate (cotutelle) program between Claude Bernard University Lyon 1 (France) and Saint Joseph University of Beirut (Lebanon). Professional & Hospital Experience I began my career in 2006 as a laboratory assistant in the Cytogenetics Department at USJ's Medical Genetics Unit. From 2021 to 2022, I served as Head of the Constitutional Genetics Unit at USJ. Subsequently, I worked for over four years (2022– 2026) as a Hospital Engineer (Ingénieur Hospitalier) in the Department of Genetics at Reims University Hospital (CHU de Reims, France). In this role, I performed data interpretation for Chromosomal Microarray Analysis (CGH-array / CMA) in pre- and post-natal diagnostics, as well as exome sequencing analysis. Research, Publications & Teaching Research, Publications & Teaching: Deeply dedicated to research and academic instruction, I have taught human genetics and molecular biology across multiple faculties (Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, and Nutrition). I am the author/co-author of 18 scientific publications in leading international journals (including Nature Genetics, American Journal of Human Genetics, and Journal of Medical Genetics). I have also presented my research at major international conferences, such as the ESHG (European Society of Human Genetics) and the ECA (European Cytogenetics Association).
