Joseph Bejjani is a Professor at the Faculty of Science of Saint Joseph University of Beirut. He specializes in molecular chemistry, notably organic, organometallic, and asymmetric synthesis. He obtained his HDR (habilitation to supervise research), PhD, and Master’s degree from Sorbonne University (Paris VI) and a Master (M1) in Chemistry from the Lebanese University. Professor Bejjani also possesses expertise in data analysis, metrology (budgeting uncertainty, calibration, and verification of measurement equipment), and quality management (ISO 17025, ISO 9001, and quality assurance of university programs). His current research focuses on developing isotopic, lipidomic, and metabolomic methods, primarily using NMR spectroscopy, to identify biomarkers for food authentication and medical applications. The results of his work have appeared in several leading scientific journals.
