Wajih El Hage is an accomplished academic with sharp expertise in the field of oral sciences. His academic path is marked by notable achievements, both in his degrees and in his contributions as a teacher. TRAINING AND DEGREES: Doctorate in Oral Sciences - Wajih obtained a PhD specialized in the creation of oral biofilms, an innovative research topic combining biology, chemistry, and engineering. This ambitious project allowed him to acquire in-depth mastery of laboratory processes and applied research. Academic Excellence Prize: He won first prize at the National Doctoral Studies Days of the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK). This prestigious prize distinguished him among Lebanon's emerging researchers and opened the doors for him to pursue fully funded postdoctoral studies in France. Postdoctoral Studies in France: Thanks to this scholarship, he benefited from an academic immersion in France with full coverage: airfare, housing, social coverage, and a monthly allowance. This program allowed him to hone his skills in advanced research methodologies and to establish international collaborations. CAREER AT SAINT JOSEPH UNIVERSITY OF BEIRUT: As a clinician-instructor at Saint Joseph University of Beirut, Wajih plays an essential role in training dental students. He combines rigorous theoretical expertise with a practical approach, conveying not only technical knowledge but also an ethical and humanistic vision of the profession. Clinical teaching: Wajih supervises students in clinical environments, guiding them in the care of real patients and instilling in them best practices in the dental field. Research supervision: Passionate about innovation, he participates in supervising students' research projects, notably in fields related to oral biofilms and microbiology. His ability to simplify complex concepts makes him an appreciated and respected teacher. Academic contributions: He has written scientific articles in the field of endodontics, consolidating his position as an expert in the discipline. ACADEMIC PHILOSOPHY: Wajih El Hage firmly believes that education is a powerful tool for transforming society. Through his role at Saint Joseph University, he strives to prepare future dentists to excel not only technically but also to adopt a patient-centered approach.
