Associate professor with over 25 years of experience in language teaching and translation. Specialist in teaching Arabic to non-Arabic speakers. Has been teaching courses and training language instructors at Saint Joseph University (Université Saint Joseph-USJ) since the late 1990’s. Has conducted training sessions at several partner universities in Europe such as UAM (Madrid), UAB (Barcelona), ISTI (Belgium), the Haute Ecole Francisco Ferrer in Brussels (Belgium), and UCLM (Toledo). Teaching translation is also a skill: media translation, advertising translation, and general translation. This academic career has culminated in a doctoral thesis entitled, “Langue et Traduction : la relation ambigüe” (Language and Translation: An Ambiguous Relationship). Specialist in teaching the Arabic language to Arabic speakers as well. I am a specialist in Arabic literature: classical and modern. I am a very good reader with a critical eye for everything new in the field of modern Arabic novels.
