Rola El Osta received her Master's degree in Engineering of CommunicationNetworks from the Lebanese University and Saint-Joseph University in Lebanon in2007. She also earned her Ph.D. in Automatic and Applied Computer from theUniversity of Nantes, France in 2017.

Currently, sheserves as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Technology at the LebaneseUniversity, where she conducts her research at LENS (Laboratory of Embedded andNetworked Systems). She collaborates with LS2N (Laboratoire des Sciences duNumérique de Nantes) and Louisiana State University.

While herprimary research interests encompass scheduling, fault-tolerance, and powermanagement for real-time systems, with a specific focus on energy harvestingsystems, her current research interests have expanded to include theapplication of artificial intelligence in various fields such as climatechange, biomedicine, and hurricane prediction.
