Mrs El Kattar Bassil is aspecialised translation and localisation professional with over 24 years of expertise infinancial, regulatory and legal translation. Since 2020, she has been in charge of delivering technical translation courses at Saint Joseph University: Islamic Finance and Banking and Business (Engliah-Arabic).

Mrs. El Kattar Bassil also leads the Translation Department at the Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority. Her main professional experience consists of managing projects related to AML/CFT, FinTech and financial legislation (Markets, Investment funds, etc.). She has also served as a consultant in various committees specialised in bilingual financial legislation in Qatar.

Mrs El Kattar holds an M.A. in Translation - Banking and Business and a BA in living languages, majoring in translation, from Saint Joseph University, Beirut.
