Mission
Since the Institute of Muslim-Christian Studies is affiliated with the Faculty of Religious Studies at the Saint Joseph University of Beirut (Lebanon), its mission closely aligns with that of the Faculty. In particular, it aims to deepen mutual understanding between Muslims and Christians.
In the face of modernity and the diverse challenges it presents, the two religious traditions in Lebanon today seek to address the vital questions of contemporary humanity. To this end, the Institute offers education based on an objective and interdisciplinary approach.
Given the growing need for dialogue, shared by many Muslims and Christians, the Institute provides spaces for meetings, avenues for joint action, and programs for awareness or training in interreligious mediation.
