I am Maria Abi Hachem Selwan (married, 2 children), a social facilitator and pedagogical mentor, engaged for many years in the field of education, youth, and social action. My university path at Saint Joseph University allowed me to specialize in sociocultural engineering of youth and citizenship, while consolidating my skills through a bachelor's in social facilitation and a teaching bachelor's. For more than fifteen years, I have worked within schools and social structures, where I support children, adolescents, and educational teams with attentive listening, kindness, and a sense of responsibility. I currently work as a pedagogical mentor at the Notre-Dame de Jamhour School, making sure to support students in their personal path (for the past 3 years). My professional experience is marked by a deep commitment to sociocultural facilitation and teaching. At the Saint-Charles School of the Daughters of Charity, I had the opportunity to design, organize, and coordinate numerous educational, social, and cultural projects, as well as to participate in setting up child-protection programs. These years reinforced my conviction that school is a privileged place to transmit human, civic, and solidarity-based values. Alongside my professional path, I became engaged very early in volunteering and humanitarian action. Social work camps, intercultural exchanges, and missions with vulnerable populations, in Lebanon and abroad, profoundly marked my personal and professional journey. These experiences nourished my sense of commitment and shaped my vision of education as an essential lever for human and social development. Trilingual and driven by a strong spirit of service, I pursue my path today with the same motivation: to support young people, support educational teams, and help form responsible, open, and supportive citizens.
