I am Léa Nakhlé, an occupational therapist instructor at the Occupational Therapy Institute of Saint Joseph University (USJ) since September 2021. I adopt a practical and holistic approach to develop essential skills in students, enabling them to apply practical intervention techniques in the field.I obtained my degree in occupational therapy in 2021 and worked in a specialized school, Step Together, from 2021 to 2023. Currently, I am pursuing a master’s degree in healthcare management at the Lebanese University, which is helping me deepen my knowledge to manage the diagnostic and research center in occupational therapy (CDSRE) at USJ.I also work in the psychiatry department at AUBMC, where I support patients of all ages, including children, adults with physical and mental health needs, and the elderly, both in inpatient, outpatient, and home-based settings. I hold several certifications, including the Cognitive Orientation to Occupational Performance (CO-OP) and the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2), and I am currently in the process of obtaining certification in Handwriting Without Tears. My mission is to promote patients autonomy and inclusion by providing quality training to future occupational therapists and developing innovative programs in our field.
