Jamil Arida is a professor, holding the position of head of “continuing education” and accounting in the 3rd year at the Faculty of Management and Administration / Saint Joseph University of Beirut, Lebanon. He is a founding member of LAIS (Lebanese Association of Information Systems chapter of AIS). His research has been published in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences and he has participated in research consortia for two national research projects. He teaches because he is passionate about accounting, internal control and auditing. His work and research mainly focus on the institutionalization process in the public and private sectors. He is the co-author of several communications in international conferences AIMS, ICTO MED, MENA, SAFE_USJ_IAE network congress, ITAIS, LCIS

Research themes

Je privilégie une perspective critique (dans le sens SAFE_USJ_du décèlement des sous-jacents et non dans celui de la dénonciation). Cette perspective est très féconde au niveau macro mais laisse un espace peu exploré à des travaux de recherche au niveau micro, autour des dispositifs de gestion normalisés.
