A clinical pharmacist and spiritual accompanist. He obtained his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2016 and his University Diploma in clinical and hospital pharmacy in 2018 from Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ), Lebanon. Passionate about integrative medicine, he discovered that combining drug treatment with spiritual care makes it possible to optimize medical treatment and improve the prognosis of cancer patients' illness. To deepen this approach, he specialized in religious sciences (USJ - DUPS and bachelor's in religious sciences) and trained in spiritual care by completing the Certificate in Advanced Studies in spiritual accompaniment in healthcare settings at the Vaud University Hospital Center, Switzerland. Holder since 2021 of a master's in pharmaceutical sciences on 'Genospirituality,' he began his doctoral studies in a jointly supervised program in pharmaceutical sciences at Laval University (Canada) and in letters (religious studies) at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland). His work aims to revolutionize the management of total pain in oncological palliative care by adopting a new personalized 'pharmaceutical-spiritual' approach, fostering dialogue among several distinct disciplines such as clinical pharmacy, social ethics, and spiritual theology. During his three years of experience in spiritual accompaniment in psychiatric settings in Switzerland and in university teaching, he developed skills in integral and holistic care and integrated care into the helping relationship from a humanizing perspective. His main motivation is to transform the paradigms of care practice by adopting new 'human' postures for pharmacists and other caregivers, because to care is to take care of the whole person: body, soul, and spirit.
