Abbas Kassem Zein is a Software Engineer and Computer Vision Engineer with a strong
background in mobile application development and embedded systems. He holds a Bachelor of
Science in Computer and Communication Engineering and a Master’s degree in Software
Engineering.
He is currently working at Oreyeon, where he develops intelligent mobile applications integrated
with embedded and AI-driven systems. His work focuses on building end-to-end solutions,
optimizing system performance, and ensuring reliable communication between software and
hardware components.
Abbas has hands-on experience deploying AI-based systems and contributing to their training in
international environments, including airports in the United States and Europe. He has also
collaborated with international teams to enhance data exchange and system efficiency.
He is the co-author of a research publication based on his Master’s thesis in the field of Neural
Architecture Search, which has been accepted and presented as a poster at the ApplePies
conference.
In parallel with his professional work, Abbas serves as a part-time lecturer at the Conservatoire
National des Arts et Métiers (Le CNAM), in addition to his teaching role at the Faculty of
Engineering at Saint Joseph University (USJ), where he teaches courses related to computer
organization and cloud services.
His main interests include mobile development, computer vision, system optimization, and the
design of intelligent systems operating under real-world constraints.
