After graduating from the Pierre Marie Curie University Paris VI, he prepared a doctorate in Applied Mechanics at the Technological University of Compiègne, working at CETIM, which he obtained in 1987. He worked for two more years at CETIM in the field of structural optimization and meshing applied to large deformations. From 1990 to 2007, he was Project Manager, and subsequently Development Director at ESI Group, responsible for Geometry, meshing, and 3D visualization". In this context, he worked on several European projects. From 2007 to 2008, he was Senior Product Engineer at EXA Corporation, in Burlington (MA USA) where he worked on the development of fluid mechanics simulation software (Automotive Industry). Before accepting the position of SED Manager at INRIA in Saclay, he currently works as a development project consultant.
