Georgette Salamé studied law at the University Panthéon-Assas (Paris II) and at the University Panthéon-Sorbonne (Paris I). She holds a master’s degree in private international law from the University Panthéon-Sorbonne (Paris I) and a certificate of comparative law from the Institut de Droit Comparé (Paris II). Georgette obtained a Ph. D in private international law in 2004 from the University Panthéon-Sorbonne (Paris I): her dissertation, “Le devenir de la famille en droit international privé (une perspective postmoderne)”, was published by the Presses Universitaires d’Aix-Marseille. She worked as a teaching assistant in France (Université de Nice-Sophia Antipolis) and Lebanon (USEK) and as a lecturer at the Lebanese University. Georgette has been a teaching assistant at the USJ since 2020 and a senior lecturer since 2024. Her academic research focuses on Private international law.
