She attained her Doctorate in Physiotherapy in 2016(Saint Joseph University-Beirut, USJ) and recently completed her PostgraduateDiploma in Posture, Seating, and Wheelchair Mobility (University ofLimerick-Ireland). <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoBodyText" align="left" style="text-align:left;line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:" book="" antiqua",serif;mso-ansi-language:en-us"="">Currentlyserving as the Head of the Technical Aids Unit at SESOBEL, Marie oversees aworkshop dedicated to crafting custom-made products for individuals withdisabilities, according to WHO standards. She is a lecturer at USJ and providesbasic wheelchair courses for PT and OT students.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoBodyText" align="left" style="text-align:left;line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:" book="" antiqua",serif;mso-ansi-language:en-us"="">She is aWHO-certified trainer for the Wheelchair Service Training Package (WSTP), basicand intermediate levels. She offers clinical consultations and audits towheelchair users, clinicians, and professionals across Lebanon and Arabcountries (Syria, Dubai, Jordan).<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoBodyText" align="left" style="text-align:left;line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:" book="" antiqua",serif;mso-ansi-language:en-us"="">Throughout hercareer, Marie has developed training courses and workshops focusing on seatingand 24-hour postural management. She collaborates with professionalsrepresenting local and international associations (ICRC, WRF, HI), servingSyrian refugees and Lebanese individuals with lower incomes.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span><o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoBodyText" align="left" style="text-align:left;line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:" book="" antiqua",serif;mso-ansi-language:en-us"="">Marie is amember of the board of directors at the International Society of WheelchairProfessionals (ISWP). She has contributed to the development of the WheelchairEducator Package (WEP) and the Wheelchair Provision Guidelines in collaborationwith WHO. Marie is widely recognized as a skilled and experienced clinician andpresenter. She has presented at numerous conferences domestically andinternationally. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoBodyText" align="left" style="text-align:left;line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:" book="" antiqua",serif;mso-ansi-language:en-us"="">In Lebanon,Marie plays a crucial role in raising awareness on the importance of assistivetechnology, advocating for the rights of individuals with disabilities andcontributing to the development of a more inclusive and compassionate society.</span><b><span style="font-size:14.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:" book="" antiqua",serif;="" mso-ansi-language:en-us"=""><o:p></o:p></span></b></p>
