Nehmé is a married Orthodox priest the parish priest in Hazmieh. He has been studying at the Institute of Islamic-Christian Studies at USJ since 2013, starting with training in dialogue, then pursuing a masters degree in Islamic-Christian relations, and finally completing his doctorate in religious sciences.Human rights issues, especially religious freedoms, have been of concern to him for some time. He wrote his master's thesis and doctoral dissertation on this subject. He is very active in various NGOs that work on dialogue and engagement and is an active member of GLADIC. He also supervises master's students' internships at the IEIC.
