Betty Taoutel: Author, Theatre Director actress both on stage and on television and cinema screens. She has made her passion her profession.Holder of a Bachelors degree in Stage Studies, a Master's degree in Dramaturgy and a DEA in Theatre Studies, she has been a lecturer at USJ since 1999 and has also taught at INBA and USEK. She was also a theatre professor and member of the jury of the Star Academy of the Arab World (from 2004 to 2016).Worked as an actress with great Lebanese and Arab directors both in Beirut and abroad. On television and in cinema, she has played in several soap operas, short and feature films. To her credit as an author and director of many highly successful plays including Ekher Beyt Bel Gemmayzé" (2010), "El Orb3a bi Noss el Jom3a" (2012-2013), "Passeport No 10452" written and performed in dual Arabic and French versions (at the Arab World Festival in Montreal in 2013, in Lebanon from 2014 to 2016, in Greece in 2014, in South Africa in 2016 and in Paris in 2019), "Masrah el Jarima" (2015), "FREEZER" (performed from 2017 to 2019) and "Couloir el Faraj" (2020)."MONO-PAUSE" is her latest theatrical creation.Betty always draws inspiration from Lebanese current events to write her plays. In 2018 she obtained the “Murex d’or” and in 2024 the “BIAF” for all of her theatrical work.
