Prof. Carole Doueiry Verne Appointed to International Advisory Committee of the Japan Center for Middle Eastern Studies
Prof. Carole Doueiry Verne has been appointed to the International Advisory Committee of the Japan Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS).
TUFS is one of Japan’s oldest universities specializing in international studies. It offers bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD programs and provides instruction in more than 80 languages. The University welcomes more than 660 students from 70 different countries and prepares graduates to work across languages and cultures, contribute to mutual understanding, and respond to global challenges.
Prof. Doueiry Verne was appointed to the International Advisory Committee in recognition of her extensive academic and professional experience in Lebanon and internationally. In this role, she will contribute her expertise and international perspective to the Center’s work in Middle Eastern studies.
Prof. Doueiry Verne also holds several international academic and advisory roles. In 2020, she was appointed to the Middle East and North Africa Advisory Council (MENAAC) of AACSB, the U.S.-based global accreditation body for business education. She serves on the Board of the Colleagues in Jesuit Business Education (CJBE) and is a member of the French observatory Action Sociétale et Action Publique (ASAP). In 2023, she joined the Board of the Lebanon Korea Friendship Association (LKFA). She also serves on the scientific and editorial boards of several French academic journals.
