To raise the students’ awareness of the problematic aspect of the disability and the maladjustment, understand its repercussions on the person and his/her family, understand and recognize the evolution of the education of persons with special needs. To discover the role, fields and places of intervention of the orthopedagogist. This course initiates the student into the problematic issue of marginality and disability : a sociological and psychological explanation is necessary for the questioning raised. Are also presented the different categories of disabilities and maladjustment according to the current classifications.
