This course raises the students’ awareness of the problematic aspect of intellectual impairment. At the end of this course, the student should be able to define the intellectual impairment, recognize the different relative classifications, identify the characteristics of the intellectual, emotional and social development of intellectually impaired persons, identify the criteria, tests and trials allowing a diagnosis of the intellectual impairment, an identification of causes and etiology.
