Diagnostic Procedure

This course aims to develop students' skills in conducting diagnostic assessments of neurodevelopmental disorders and understanding the role of the psychomotor therapist within the diagnostic team. Additionally, it will enable students to master the process of establishing a psychomotor diagnosis for the most common psychomotor disorders, in line with evidence-based scientific advancements. The course also helps students to identify necessary referrals to specific diagnostic agents for each neurodevelopmental disorder (such as doctors and multidisciplinary teams) and to recommend the most recent diagnostic tests endorsed by global diagnostic authorities, which are essential for the diagnostic process of each disorder addressed. Furthermore, this course will assist students in mastering the distribution of roles within a diagnostic team and in developing a comprehensive and holistic orientation project, within a multidisciplinary framework, towards targeted intervention agents following the establishment of the diagnosis.
