USJ provides instructors, researchers, and students with extensive resources and services across its campuses. These include libraries, digital platforms, and laboratories equipped with advanced technology, as well as specialized research centers. Research is overseen by the Vice-Rectorate for Research, the Research Board, and dedicated administrative staff who support and guide researchers. The University Center for Ethics further ensures that research is conducted according to the highest ethical standards.

Promote research initiatives and strategic collaborations in the University’s priority fields, while aligning them with institutional needs.
Strengthen laboratory development by ensuring coherence in research activities, supporting junior instructors-researchers, and providing effective technical and administrative support.
Foster interdisciplinary and cross-institutional research through federative structures organized by major scientific fields.
Coordinate research, knowledge transfer, and scientific exchange among instructors and researchers across campuses, centers, laboratories, and chairs.
Advance research and graduate training environments that meet the highest standards of scientific excellence while addressing the needs of the University, Lebanon, and the region.
Support the establishment and development of doctoral schools.
Promote high-level PhD programs within these schools.
Position laboratories as national reference centers for public authorities and private partners while expanding their international reach.
Strengthen partnerships with industry and the socio-economic sector to foster innovation and amplify research impact.
Ensure the rigorous application of research ethics and integrity standards in collaboration with the University’s Ethics Committee.
