The goal of this course is for students to learn how to use the statistical concept essential for data science. The notions acquired will be used in a practical way in their work during collecting, analyzing and interpreting data. At the end of this course, students will be able to: • Calculate measures of central tendency and measures of dispersion and interpret their meaning. • Organize data in frequency tables and represent them using many graphs. • Use descriptive and deductive statistical methods to study the association between two numerical variables (linear regression) and to analyze their correlation.
