Three-dimensional evaluation of anterior guidance parameters and palatal height index in obstructive sleep apnea adults using cone beam computed tomography
Description :
This study consists of comparing the anterior guidance between healthy patients and patients suffering from OSA on a CBCT. The study sample consists of 27 adult patients suffering from OSA and diagnosed by a night polysomnography. The control group consists of healthy adults with a body mass index and age as close as possible to the OSA group. In order to analyze the anterior guidance, the overjet and the overbite will be measured on a sagittal view. The palatal height index will be calculated on the coronal plane on the first molar. The percentage calculated will be used to determine if the palate is too shallow or the maxilla is too constricted in order to identify the anatomy of high risk patients.
