Our Programs

Bachelor in Translation

A comprehensive undergraduate program of 180 credits over 6 semesters, designed to provide a solid foundation in languages, translation techniques, and technological tools, while fostering critical thinking and professional versatility.

Master in Translation

A professional degree of 120 credits over 4 semesters, offering three specialized tracks: Conference Translation, Editorial Translation, and Translation for Banking and Business.

Through these specializations, you will be trained in high-demand fields such as multimedia, international organizations and diplomacy, and the corporate world. This approach ensures that you not only master the linguistic subtleties of each sector, but also acquire the technical and cultural expertise that sets you apart in today’s competitive job market.

The result: you will graduate as highly qualified professionals, ready to take on complex challenges and to stand out as trusted experts in your chosen field.

Our Language Combinations

At ETIB, Arabic is always the A language (mother tongue and main working language), combined with French, English, or Spanish to meet the demands of today’s global market.

Combination 1: A – Arabic | B – French or English | C – French or English

Combination 2: A – Arabic | B – English | C – Spanish

Combination 3: A – Arabic | B – English (available at Master’s level only)

Our Strengths

A program that never stops evolving

At ETIB, innovation is part of our DNA. That is why our Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in Translation have been redesigned to meet the challenges of a fast-changing professional world.

This comprehensive reform is built on four key pillars:

Clearly defined competencies to ensure a strong and structured progression

Progressive integration of artificial intelligence tools to work with technology, not against it

Critical thinking as a cornerstone, empowering students to make informed choices

Enhanced professionalization to prepare graduates for real-world demands

Our goal is clear: to protect and strengthen human expertise in a digital age, and to train professionals who are not only ready to adapt, but also capable of anticipating and shaping the future of language professions.

A Certified and Career-Oriented Program

The Prestige of the European Master’s in Translation (EMT) Label

For the period 2024–2029, ETIB’s Master’s in Translation has been awarded - for the second consecutive time - the prestigious European Master’s in Translation (EMT) label, granted only to a select group of top programs across Europe. ETIB is proud to be the only university outside Europe to hold this distinction, a recognition of the outstanding quality and international relevance of its training.

Training in CAT Tools and Localization

The Master’s in Translation equips students with hands-on expertise in industry-standard software for translation, project management, and localization — including Trados Studio, MultiTerm, Phrase TMS, and more.

ETIB is a proud university partner of the RWS Campus Program, which enables us to offer students professional certifications in Trados Studio - a key asset in today’s translation industry.

In addition, our students benefit from free access to the academic edition of Phrase TMS, giving them hands-on experience with the same tools used by leading language service providers worldwide.

This department has been granted free access to the Phrase TMS Academic Edition, an academic program designed for universities with translation courses.

An Internationally Oriented Program
