Preamble

As part of its commitment to quality, the Faculty of Educational Sciences places research at the heart of its priorities through the Laboratory for Research in Education (LRE), affiliated with the Doctoral School of Humanities and Social Sciences (EDSHS) at Saint Joseph University of Beirut. As a key structure for innovation, the LRE develops its activities in accordance with the ethical and pedagogical principles upheld by the University, while addressing emerging educational issues at the national, regional, and international levels.

Mission and Objectives

The LRE’s primary mission is to promote research in the fields of formal and non-formal education through disciplinary and interdisciplinary teams. It thus aims to serve as a dedicated space for conducting research in education (1), a forum for exchange and collaboration among Lebanese and international researchers (2), a framework for the design and implementation of research projects (3), and a platform for technological and methodological research (4).

The LRE also provides support for doctoral candidates in Educational Sciences, as well as Master’s students enrolled in the two specializations: “Teaching and Pedagogical Guidance” and “School Management and Educational Development.”

Research conducted within the LRE is structured around three thematic research areas.
