Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy of USJ Beirut from 1976 to 1986. From 1986 to 1988, associate professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy of Paris XI University. In December 1988, he was appointed professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy of Victor Segalen Bordeaux 2 University, where he held his position until September 2010. From 2011 to 2022, he served as Scientific Adviser to the National Council for Scientific Research of Lebanon and as an adjunct teacher at the Faculty of Pharmacy of USJ. Professor of Biopharmacy and of the quality-assurance course unit.

Ses activités de recherche au cours des dernières années ont lobjet de nombreuses publications internationales et porté principalement :
- D'une part sur la conception et le développement des formes médicamenteuses adaptées au traitement des maladies tropicales, plus particulièrement le paludisme, dans les pays en voie de développement
- D'autre part sur la conception et le développement des formes médicamenteuses innovantes (gels thermosensibles...) adaptées au traitement des maladies tropicales chez lez enfants en milieu rural.
